At Happy Day Plants, we believe plants have a way of bringing people together. That’s why we’re excited to launch Learn to Grow, a new educational program designed to bring hands-on plant learning to students in our community.

Our Learn to Grow program grew out of the field trips we began hosting for local schools at Happy Day Plants. As we welcomed students into the shop to learn about plants and experience our mission firsthand, we saw an opportunity to reach even more students by bringing these hands-on programs directly to schools. Taking our program on the road also helps schools save on transportation and bus costs, making plant education more accessible to more students in our community.

Learn to Grow builds on what we do every day at Happy Day Plants: creating meaningful opportunities for people of all abilities to learn new skills, contribute, and feel a sense of belonging. Students not only learn through hands-on experiences with plants, but practice skills like following directions, making decisions, problem-solving, working as a team, and taking responsibility for something that depends on them.

We’re proud to have a retired St. Vrain Valley educator on our team who works directly with teachers and school administrators to create a customized Learn to Grow experience. Together, we can design a program that aligns with classroom standards, learning goals, and the unique needs of your students.

We can also bring our pop-up potting bar directly to your school for staff appreciation events, celebrations, and special gatherings. It’s a fun, hands-on way to bring the Happy Day Plants experience to your campus and give teachers and staff a chance to connect, create, and take home something they’ve grown themselves.
