There are many ways to join the mission at Happy Day Plants. Individuals can volunteer their time, support through financial donations, or participate in workshops and special events that fund our mission. Businesses can partner with us through sponsorships, in-kind donations, or by hosting collaborative events. Community members can also shop our retail store, knowing every purchase supports meaningful employment. However you choose to engage, you play a role in growing opportunity and inclusion in our community.
Build Inclusive Communities
Happy Day Plants serves as a vibrant, inclusive community where individuals of all abilities come together. Our program encourages social interaction, teamwork, and mutual support, helping to break down societal barriers and promote understanding and inclusion. We host community events, workshops, and educational field trips at our shop to further extend our reach, fostering a broader acceptance and appreciation of the talents and contributions of individuals with disabilities.
Participate in Our Program
We partner with the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation to provide on-the-job training for individuals with disabilities. Whether it is arranging and selling plants or visiting local partner businesses to care for their plants, our hands-on approach enhances cognitive function, builds self-esteem, and improves social skills. Our goal is to empower participants to tackle new challenges and become more self-reliant. Each volunteer role is a four-month journey, offering time to build new skills, work toward personal goals, and become part of the Happy Day Plants community.
Become a Sponsor
Sponsorships directly support meaningful employment and community building opportunities for youth and adults with disabilities. As a nonprofit, we combine retail operations with hands-on training and community programs that build confidence and real-world skills. Sponsors help fund workshops, job coaching, and paid employment that strengthens our entire community. In return, partners gain visibility, community recognition, and the opportunity to align their brand with purpose-driven impact.
Volunteer at Events
Volunteering at Happy Day Plants is a hands-on way to support our community programs like Happy Day Hangs and Happy Day Hangs Jr. Volunteers help guide participants through projects and activities and ensure everyone has a fun and inclusive experience. It’s a rewarding way to make a difference, connect with the community, and support meaningful programs for youth and adults.
